And since its properties absorb moisture, it's recommended that you replace it every two years regardless of mileage.
Coolant
Engine coolant is designed to help transfer heat from the engine components to the radiator for cooling. Additionally, it has a high boiling point to help protect the engine from overheating while preventing corrosion. Also known as antifreeze, it can prevent freezing to temperatures as low as -83°F.
