German automaker Audi has once again proven that drivers crave the luxury driving experience that a new new Audi provides based on their impressive sales numbers from the past successful sales month.

Audi rounded out May 2013 with a total of 137,200 units being sold which exemplifies a 6.4 percent increase over the month of May 2012. May 2012 was already considered to be a successful sales month, but May 2013 proved to be magnificent. To put things into a larger perspective, the automaker has sold a total of 640,200 models year-to-date and represents a 6.7 percent increase over the previous year.

Luca de Meo, member of the Board of Management for Sales at AUDI AG says, "Despite ongoing challenges in the European market, Audi increased global sales in May. Double-digit rates of growth in Asia and the Americas played a crucial role. Business for Audi is especially dynamic in the United States, where we are clearly on course to achieve our sales target of 150,000 units in 2013."1

Despite a couple bumps in the road, Audi has maintained a large amount of growth. In the U.S., the brand has experienced a gain of 15.0 percent year-over-year and 17.9 percent for the North American continent. Total deliveries in the U.S. for the month of May came to a sum of 13,228 units which included models like the Audi A5 and Audi Q5.
