There are several things that come to mind with the mention of Audi: speed, luxury, style. But now we can add one more phrase to that list: autopilot.

A San Francisco start-up company Cruise Automation has released an autopilot system, referred to as RP1.  This new system places a camera, radar and other sensors on the roof in order to scan the road and better control steering, brakes and throttle of the car.

Like any new technology, however, there are limitations, a big one being that the system is limited to California highways. But by researching and integrating more highway maps into the system, this Audi autopilot system can extend its reach beyond California.

The Fairfield region can begin to prepare for the future, the autopilot driven future by getting behind the wheel of the 2015 Audi A4 or S4 at Audi Fairfield today. Don't just wait until autopilot is brought to us; meet the future behind the wheel of a vehicle designed to adapt to it.
