Audi is no stranger when it comes to technology. They’ve allowed drivers to sync their phones to the vehicle’s speakers for years. But with new Audi drivers every year, people want to know how to sync their phones. Since this is such a common question, we thought we take the time to explain how synching your phone works.

How to Synch Your Apple or Android Phone

In order to connect your Apple or Android device to your new Audi, Bluetooth is the fastest way. By utilizing this wireless technology, drivers can easily sync their phones to the vehicle’s infotainment system. Here are step-by-step instructions on how you can sync your phone.

Setting Up Your Apple & Android Phones

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is activated on your phone
  2. Turn your vehicle on, and put it in Park
  3. On the infotainment system, press Phone > Connect Mobile Device. The system will now begin searching for your Apple or Android device
  4. Select your device from the touchscreen, and a PIN will appear on the screen and phone. Confirm the PIN matches on both devices
  5. Confirm all messages that appear on your phone. On iPhone, a prompt will appear asking to enable Wireless Car Play. If you click Not Now you’ll disable your Bluetooth connection.
  6. Your mobile device will now be paired. As long as your Audi is turned on, your phone will be automatically connected while Bluetooth is enabled
