Enhancing Driver Alertness
The new C-V2X technology is a safety feature like no other, as it can inform drivers of potential dangers. You'll be alerted if a traffic jam, road constriction, or another hazard is ahead of you. More recently, Audi showcased what this technology can do near stopped school buses or emergency vehicles. Vehicles which often stop unexpectedly to pick up or drop off individuals.
This new bi-directional technology can relay information to nearby cars 400 yards away. By providing such information in advance, drivers could respond faster to another vehicle's presence. Even around a corner or over a hill.
As impressive as this technology is, it isn't exclusive to Audi. The C-V2X was also installed in school buses.
